HOW TO CORRECT WATERY LIQUID SOAP


ADDING SALT WHEN IT IS WATERY

As a pH adjuster, salt can also make liquid soap to become watery or thick after doing it. You might see the watery right after doing it and sometimes you find the liquid soap watery the next day. When it happens like this, you have to follow these process to correct it using salt.

1.      Fetch small quantity of the liquid soap into a small bowl (about 500 ml),

2.      Add about two table spoon of salt to it and stir.

3.      It should be start becoming thick if it is salt that is required.

4.      Add salt to the entire quantity of liquid soap you have and stir it. Don’t mix the salt with water before adding it.

5.      This should help bring the thickness you want back. However, if the second step in this process does not work, try option two…using water to correct it.

 

ADD WATER WHEN IT IS WATERY

Too much water in your liquid soap could also make it watery. Sometimes, the quantity of water needed depends on the thickness you want your liquid soap to be. You can use water to correct watery liquid soap. Simply follow the steps below.

1.      Fetch small quantity of the liquid soap into a small bowl (about 500 ml),

2.      Add about 50ml of water and stir.

3.      It should become thick if water is truly needed.

4.      Add water to the entire liquid soap and stir vigorously.

5.      This should help bring the thickness you want. However, if this step too does not work, try option three….using base and salt to correct it.

 

USING BASE AND SALT TO CORRECT IT

Base (Sodium Laureth Sulphate) and salt (Sodium Chloride) are the two main base for the liquid soap. So when your liquid soap become watery beyond the correction using salt only an water only, base and salt is your last resort to correcting the liquid soap. Follow the steps below to correct your watery liquid soap.

1.      Put your base (1 kilogram), salt (1 kilogram), thickener (20 grams), booster (20 grams),  and preservative (20 grams),  in a bowl.

2.      Stir very well.

3.      Add your watery liquid soap in bits and stir very well.

4.      Continue adding the liquid until it’s finished.

5.      Depending on the thickness you want, add 15 liters of water gradually and stir till you get the desired thickness.

6.      Add the color and stir.

7.      Add fragrance and stir.
