Retouching of hair by women and some men has been with us for many years. It is recorded that in Ghana, our grandmothers were using shea butter and hot metal to retouch or straighten their hair. Later lye concentrated retouching cream or conditioner was introduced to make the retouching of hair simple and fast but these creams have their disadvantages just like the shea butter and hot metal process. Our recipe provides you with an alternative to the lye concentrated conditioner which gives you the same results and far better straightening hair with no implications.
