HOW TO MAKE TOOTHPASTE

 

There are various means to making your own toothpaste for home use with some basic ingredients. Our recipe provides you with the most common ingredients to make your own toothpaste or teeth whitener. By following this recipe you should be able to produce about 100ml of toothpaste for you and your family.

Ingredients

1. Filtered Water                                                              100ml
2. Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)                           50grams
3. Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose (CMC)                             10grams
4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (Booster powder)                    10grams
5. Vegetable Glycerin                                                       100ml
6. Coconut Oil                                                                  15ml
7. Peppermint Oil                                                              15ml

Process

1. You must use treated water and if you cannot get distilled water, you can use the bottled water to prepare your toothpaste.
2. Add your baking soda to the water and stir very well. For it to become very smooth, you must use an electric hand mixer to stir it.
3. Add your CMC and booster powder to it and stir very well. Ensure that, you have the smoothness you want.
4. Add your vegetable glycerin, coconut oil and peppermint oil to it and stir very well.
5. Keep stirring until you get the smoothness you want.
