How to make Liquid Soap for Hand and dish washing


 
Liquid soap is one the most frequent use detergent in the home, workplace and at the eating places. This section will teach you how to produce 20 liters of liquid soap

1.1 Ingredients/Quantity

These are the ingredients and the quantity needed to produce 20 liters of liquid soap.

1.5 kilos

Salt

1.1  kilos

You could use less salt for more foam

Booster powder/liquid

50 grams

Thickener powder/liquid

50 grams

Preservative

50 grams

Color

To your taste

Fragrance/Perfume

20 ml

1.2 Equipment/Items

These are the equipment needed to when making liquid for commercial purpose or for the home.

1.      4.5 liters paint rubber

2.      30 liters rubber bowl

3.      Stirring rod – (Bankuta)

1.3  Process
  1. Pour the salt and base into your 30 liter bowl and stir with the stirring rod.
  2. Add your Booster powder, thickener powder and preservative and stir well with your stirring rod. Stir the mixture until it becomes white.
  3. Begin to add your water in small quantity like 3 liters. Remember, your liquid could take more water if you stir the mixture very well.

5.      Repeat STEP 3 until you have exalted 14 liters of your 20 liters of water.




Testing to see if the liquid will need more water

1.                                  Fetch 3 hand full of the liquid into a small bowl and add a hand full of water to it and sti                         with your hand. If it becomes thicker than what is in the bowl, then you can add more water                     but it has to be in small quantity.

2.                              You can repeat STEP 1 under testing until you get the thickness you want for your liquid soap.

After getting the thickness you want, you can now add your color. The color depends on your taste. Note: You can add the color to the liquid at any stage when making it.

7.      Add the perfume/fragrance you like. Remember also that, the perfume also has some effect on the thickness of the liquid soap so you have to check that too.
