HOW TO MAKE HERBAL SHOWER GEL

 

Shower gel/Bathing gel has become prominent in various house because of its easiness when using it for bathing. It saves money. This process seeks to teach you how to produce 18 liters of shower gel.

Ingredients

These are the ingredients and the quantity needed to produce 18 liters of Shower gel.

Base	1.5 kilos
Salt	750 grams
Booster powder/liquid	50 grams
Thickener powder/liquid	50 grams
Preservative	50 grams
Color	To your taste
Glycerin	20 ml
Vitamin E	20 ml
Citric Acid	50 grams
Pearlizer/Shining	40 ml
Essential oils	20 ml each of it
Fragrance/Perfume	20 ml

 

Equipment/Items

These are the equipment needed to when making liquid for commercial purpose or for the home.

1.      4.5 liters paint rubber

2.      30 liters rubber bowl

3.      Stirring rod – (Bankuta)

Process

The process to making this product is just like making liquid soap.

1.      Pour the salt and base into your 30 liter bowl and stir with the stirring rod.

2.      Add your Booster powder, thickener powder and preservative and stir well with your stirring rod. Stir the mixture until it becomes white.

3.      Begin to add your water in small quantity like 3 liters. Remember, your liquid could take more water if you stir the mixture very well.

4.      Repeat STEP 3 until you have exalted 14 liters of your 20 liters of water.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.      After getting the thickness you want, you can now add your color. The color depends on your taste. Note: You can add the color to the shower gel at any stage when making it.

6.      After adding the color, you can now add GLYCERIN, VITAMIN E, ESSENTIAL OILS, PEARLIZER AND CITRIC ACID. Stir very well for the chemicals to mix well.

7.      Add the perfume/fragrance you like. Remember also that, the perfume also has some effect on the thickness of the liquid soap so you have to check that too.

Making Herbal Shower Gel

Follow the steps in making the shower gel but instead of the fresh water, you will add the leaves extract using the options listed.

Option 1

1.      Get the herbs you want (Guava leaves, Scent leaves, Simpi etc.) and soak it in 25 liters of water and it for 3 days.

Option 2

1.      Get the herbs you want (Guava leaves, Scent leaves, Simpi etc.) and extract the juice by washing the leaves in your water.

Option 3

1.      Get the herbs you want (Guava leaves, Scent leaves, Simpi etc.) and extract the juice by boiling the leaves for about 15-20 minutes.

Adding other ingredients

1.      To add ALOE VERA, you will have to blend it and get the juice. You can add it at the STEP 2 of the process.

2.      To add HONEY, you will have to add it at STEP 2

3.      To add MILK, you will have to boil it for about 5 minutes and add it STEP 2

4.      To add WHITENING POWDER, you will add it at STEP 2.
