DIY - HOW TO MAKE OBOLO SOAP

Obolo Soap is one of the popular soap in Ghana. Many people have requested for the recipe to making this product. We must that, soap making follows the same process or method and so therefore, it is important to note when you know how to do this soap, you should be able to make any other soap. Practice our recipe and let us have your feedback.  Ingredients 
  1. Caustic Soda                1kg
  2. Palm kernel oil.           6 liters
  3. Fragrance                    500ml
  4. Glycerin.                     1 liters
  5. Silicate.                       1 liters
  6. Oil color yellow          20g
  7. Water.                         3 liters
  8. Ash Soda.                   1 kg
  9. Water for Ash.           2 liters

Process/Method

  1.  Soak your caustic soda in water (1 liters) and leave it for 2 days to ferment
  2. Soak your ash or Sal Soda in 2 liters of water
  3. Making ratio
  4. 6 liters of oil : 3 liters of caustic soda (and 1 liters of ash soda solution)
  5. Pour your oil in a bowl
  6. Mix your oil with the color to the taste you want.
  7. Add the caustic soda solution (lye) to it and stir for it to mix well
  8. Add your Sal soda solution to it and stir very well
  9. Add your glycerin (500ml) and stir
  10. Add your fragrance (500ml) to the mix and stir very well.
  11. Pour the soap solution or mixture into your mold to get the desired shape
